Hi,

I'm new here and do not intend to be regular but who knows. I came here to find out where I can get a certain type of banana plant to grow. While in Hawaii last year I bought some very fat bananas. They were very firm in texture and came apart in three linear pieces easily. They also had visible, small seeds. They were large and i couldn't finish one in one sitting but they stayed delicious for days even when peeled. I now live in Florida and would like to grow these if I could identify and source them. Can anyone help?

Could be hua moa, depends on how "fat" and how long. I grow these regularly in Miami. But, there are some other choices. Got any pictures?

Yep, probably Hua moa or another popoulu type.
