Well it's not really that mighty yet but It's mine! :D I hadn't noticed that they have three colors, green, very light green, and white. It's a bit tattered from the ride home and sitting in the full sun at the nursery for who knows how long, but I'm sure it will make a comeback. I stashed it behind my Apples until I can get it in the ground. It has one very small pup just emerging so that's good news. ;) Notice the light green stripe in the unfurled leaf!

Looks like a pretty sweet deal!! I was told by one who grows aeae, if you want fruit plant in full sun and forget about appearance. They will be all burned up. For show, plant in filtered light but fruit production may not be as vigourous (not sure I agree with that yet - my ca gold is in filtered light almost all day and you can see the bunch in my avatar).
The fruit is very tasty as well. I had the opportunity to sample a few hands. Pretty cool the fruit has white stripes as well.

I had never heard that the fruits were edible, very interesting!
I am afraid I do not see a whole lot of white variegation on this Ae Ae. I think it is just the picture though or where it was kept or maybe the soil. Anyway, think you got a good deal too!

Wow! That plant looks awesome!!! I didn't get a chance to reply to the other thread before you got this plant. I guess I should really check around the nursery's around here. You never know what you might find!
The heat here has taken it's toll on my plants; especially the newest ones. I try to go out at least twice a day and mist the plants. Also, I wonder if the heat is stalling my (guessing they are) Orinoco's blooming. I usually have blooms before now.
