It looks like an ABB type, possibly Namwah or Orinoco. It's impossible to know for sure until it flowers.

yeah - someone must have dumped. I have wanted nana's for a long time - so that prompted me to build a garden for them. Purchased and planted:

Mahoi
Red Dwarf (2)
Ice Cream (2)
Mysore
Namwah

I'm guessing Manzano at this point.

dude you better pull up that bamboo while you still can, that will ruin your fence and take over everything in that area...will choke it all out till dead..bananas as well!

If its a runner type it will take over, I have a runner type but I have about 3 acres for it to spread out in the country away from buildings and stuff. The people I got the starts from started with 2 cuttings 5 years ago, and its now a patch that is 60 foot long, about 25 foot wide and 25 foot tall. If its not a clumper it will spread into the next yard and pop up about 10 feet or more away lol.

Thank you for the concern on the Bamboo. It is Emerald Timber and is about 3 years old. We take great care to maintain it in a perfect strip across my fence-line. Largest stalks are now about 7 inches in circumference and about 20 feet tall. Hopefully next year I start pushing logs out of the ground...

That would be cool to be able to find Bananas in the woods, I am lucky if I can find them here in nurseries.

How long from flower to fruit being developed and ready?

About 3 months in good tropical conditions. Slower over winter in subtropical conditions.
