Hi everyone,

I'm looking at getting another variety of banana, but my experience with giant bananas (>12 feet ) in pots has made me consider height a great deal. Fruit would still be really nice, but it would be great if the plant could cap out around 5-6 feet. SDC looks like a good candidate, but I've read both really good and really bad things about it. Mona Lisa (FHIA-2) is the other one I'd really like to get. Any thoughts on these would be really appreciated Thanks!

I have Mona Lisa & if it fruits it won't be till next year since its only 2' (p-stem) in a 25 gal nursery pot. Its 2' shorter than my SH3640 & Sweetheart that I got a week before the Mona Lisa. :^)

@ abnshrek Thanks! That's very interesting it has been outpaced by the SH3640 and the Sweetheart. Maybe it's a slower growing FHIA cultivar perhaps? Of the three, which one do you like the best?

Ask me that @ the end of summer.. I think the Mona Lisa just took longer to transition to its pot for some reason so they are all good. I like Goldfinger over D. Orinoco too.. :^)
