Just curious..

Since google did not really bring anything up, I would like to know if anyone actually has brought a Milky Way to flower?

I know they are not particularly common, and therefore not so many has had the opportunity to actually try it.

Anyone in here have one at the moment? Please post a picture.

Hello there, I actucally have 4 of them blooming right now. I have had them pkanted for not even a year, they were TC plants. But....... I am not at all impressed with them. they are no where as dark as the leaves are shown by everyone selling them. They are very upright and they all four of the flowers have a pink tint to their cones. I wil take some pics for you tomorrow. But they are also a bit beaten up from the cold we got the last 2 weeks. The flowers are perfect it is just their leaves that are ruined. I am keeping them just till my friend comes to visit his friend in Kentucky from Costa Rica so I can send hom one and then I am replacing them. I was not at all impressed with them. I hope you like yours.

I would be interested in how it goes transporting the Milky Way to Costa Rica.
I am planning to bring back five Double Mahoi plants, 4" to 24" tall, from Denver but am planning on having them certified by the Colo. Dept. of Ag before doing so.

If your friend is able to get one back uncertified I would like to know how. Will it be in the form of a corm or entire plant?

I have a stand of them now, 4 to 6 going and 3 are on second year growth right now and are near 6 foot in height. Mine are not the tissue culture plants and were brought back from Mark Collins direct on a Thailand trip. I've been growing the species since 2008 or 09 and have not had a bloom yet. I'm hoping this is the year. I will try and post pics of my 2 that are the largest.
