Until now I have never grown bananas from seed.
I bought, a month ago, a few seeds, and some of them I got from a colleague from the Croatian Palm forums.
Here are the results after 3 weeks.

good growing..what type are they????how long to germ??at what temp??did you presoak??

Ensete ventricosum and E.glaucum

They were in the water for 3 days and then at a constant temperature of 27°C (80 F)
Sprouted one week after soaking.

I guess the seeds were fresh.

ive got my first ever lots of seeds in the prop but so far a no show for me. i hope somthing will decide to grow.

Its always nice to see other peoples sucsess.:08::08:

Glad to see urs growing I have planted 10 I bought the seeds from thompson n morgon and I have noticed 1 as roots and as a long black stick sticking up the other 9 as nothing yet and I still have a pack with 5 seeds init I put the 10 seeds in water for about 24 - 48 hours and then put them in a resealable bag then put them in a big pot and put into the greenhouse how long will it take for the other 9 if u could help me :)

If the seed are fresh, they germinate very quickly.

I bought mine from thompson n morgon I had to wait as they came from a different country :) if u see my pictures I have took one of the one that has now got roots with a black stick from where the pulp is :)
