Hello. Considering that only some varieties of banana have flowers that are good for consumption (i.e. not bitter), I was thinking that we should perhaps compile a list of the varieties of bananas that have edible flowers, for convenience. From what I have heard, Namwah is supposed to have edible flowers. Anyone got anything to add? :2738:

I'm sure all edible bananas have edible flowers, it's just that some, like Saba and Namwah, are better for eating.

Yes, all edible varieties do have edible flowers, but tall seeded bananas are technically edible.I's just that you wouldn't eat them, because they taste really bad. It's the same with flowers, yes, you could eat them, but some would just taste plain horrible. That's what i mean by "edible"
