Hi guys being new to banana growing iv just got some sikkimensis seeds of ebay.Not really sure of the best way to germinate them.Can anyone tell me please i would be verry gratfull:2691: many thanks..daz

Check out the banana germination forum on this site. There are also some threads in the main discussion forum that discuss this also. Just do a search for "germination," and you'll find a bunch of stuff to read.

I've been working with Musa sikkimensis seeds, but I don't have much luck with them. I can tell you that in order to imbibe them, you should soak them in warm water (changing daily) for about a week or more. After that, put them in a flat (or box), and use alternating temperature of about 90F for 7-10 hours, and 60F the rest of the time. Musa seeds respond best to alternating temperature. Good luck.
