the stock is not like most i have searched and seen..it is not brown and woody, it is green/yellowish. It is about a year and a half old maybe a little bit more. its winter here in nova scotia so its a bit wilted and the leaves are growing in smaller. i posted a few pictures in gallery. sorry i am new here... :3 i would love some care tips for this plant if it can be identified!!

Is it one of those dwarf prince plants? Not too sure myself but it sure looks good. Good luck up there!

The stalk is not unlike many we see here in Costa Rica. I am not used to seeing banana plants that are as compact as this one but the list of banana varieties is extensive.

The plant does look healthy so probably the best tack is to wait and see what comes. :lurk:

I'd guess something along the lines of Super Dwarf Cavendish. When the pup was younger did it have any reddish splotches on the leaves?
