Started growing several mango seedlings this last summer and a few are growing really well in 4x4x5 pots. I now know the need for deeper pots so the tap root can grow. It will soon be warm enough to transplant them and I need to know what size pots are needed. I hope to graft onto them in 2014 when they are big enough. Any suggestions on soil mix are welcome.
Thanks for your help

Larry --- what variety are the seedlings? It's important to pick the right rootstock for your area.

And what scion varieties are you planning to graft with?

Hey Bananimal thanks for the reply. I had hand surgery a few days ago so my reply is delayed. Most of the seedlings are Kent and Keitt, there are a few Manilla and a few others that I have no idea. I am very new to this and have not read much about rootstock specifics. I have read about turpentine as a good rootstock, and thought I read that you can get away with anything that grows. I recently found a guy on the Big Island that sells scions, he has many to choose from but you must spend at least $100.
