Well, now the mystery is solved. It really does produce fruit! To much cold weather and getting bumped for other naner clutivars kept this thing in limbo. Can't wait to see what the fruit is like.

Dan, that's a beautiful plant.
After waiting 7 years, I'd be expecting some fireworks when you peel it.

KJ --- And it turns out it's cold tolerant. We haven't seen any temps in the 30's yet. Gave up growing naners with too much red - too tropical. They die quick in the mid 30's. Amazing thing is my area has been officially redesignated as USDA zone 10a from 9b.
The big fat rodent in PA didn't see his shadow so an early spring is forecast. We'll see.

I'll start believing that forecast when swine fly.

A solid tasting banana. Better than an improved Dwarf Brazilian / Hawaiian Apple with a little sub-acid.

I used to say I never grew red skinned naners. Well it looks like I do now .
Compare these pics to the one in post #1 - green fingers.
When the red started I thought the fruit was spoiling. Today I'm sure they're OK.
