Hi, I have ordered some Musa Basjoo plants, hopefully to plant in the ground in the spring when weather allows. I plan to keep them inside thru the rest of the winter and early spring, hopefully giving them time to grow. I assume each plant I ordered will be single plants. I have a rectangle shaped pool, and plan on placing them around the two far corners, a few feet off the concrete patio, hopefully giving a tropical feeling. I was wondering how far apart I should plant them? or if they should be planted in clusters/ groups? And if in a group, how many to a group? or any other suggestions?
Thanks!!!

They will multiply into your clusters on their own. (pups) Sometimes in the 1st year.

Bananas will eventually form a 'mat' with a grouping of plants of various sizes (if left to do so and pups are not separated/removed).....so it kinda depends on if you want a space between plantings or just a wall of banana trees. I would say 6 to 10 feet.
