What's wrong with them? R they right out of a tissue culture dish or something?

Put some baggies on them to keep humidity high. Just avoid direct contact with plastic.

Are they tissue culture and if so where from? How can you be sure they are the real deal unless they are pups from a flowered and fruited mother plant? I am so confused!

I just today got two Blue Java and I'm as proud and happy as you must be, thanks to a kind member on the West Coast.

Without going into detail it has been one of "those days", like a day from Hell where you think it can't get any worse unless you die. Then the mailman came and brought me two Blue Java and things didn't look so bad after all. So what the greenhouse collapsed under a gust of wind and weight of rain, at least it's not cold; in fact, it was 79 degrees today and no cold in sight. So what the car has a flat tire and the truck wont start, at least my neighbor left his keys in his truck before he took off to Birmingham. When I got my two Blue Java I was too happy to care.

Thanks for the pictures, Tony and thanks to my friend out West for my Blue Java. Made my day!

Your house is heated, right? Bring them inside it.

I always acclimate my precious TC plants in my heated basement at around 22-26C under strong artificial lighting, inside a closed transparent plastic storage box,and have never lost one with this method. Growth is really fast too in those conditions and the bananas are ready for outdoor planting in the spring :)

Happy growing!!!

You are brave. The temps went down to 27F at my house near the coast last night and you live near by....
My banana plants look horrible, even with frost cloth. Hope that at least the corm or p-stem will survive....
