Did you say mulberries? Those trees grow like weeds here in IN. Usually in fence rows, EVERYWHERE! I have eaten some but never thought they were commercially grown. I have a pretty big mulberry tree and the wife wants me to cut it down, it causes a mess every summer and the birds byproduct isn't too pleasant either.

Birds have to eat also and think of the many bugs they remove. A little mess might be small compared to what they give you.

Jim, hey and welcome. Surprised you can grow peaches there. I've tried them here and never had luck with them, even those developed for Florida growing. I do have some nice grapefruit, lemons and oranges on the trees now just waiting to be picked.
I think you're going to like it here.
