I stumbled on the is website... turns out it's only about a half hour drive for me. They do not ship any bananas, but they do offer some hard to find seeds for other plants. I haven't gotten anything from them... yet! Thought I'd pass along the link:

Echo actually has a tropical fruit nursey.
Nursery - ECHO (http://www.echonet.org/content/nursery)
I was in the area earlier this year and stopped by to get a Red Lime tree from them. They have a lot of different types of fruiting plants (they dont ship, or sell on line). I would def make the 30 min trip if I lived that close.

They do sell papaya seed online though... thought it might be of interest mainly for that.

I'm not exactly sure what species it is, but it has the large orange fruit. I assume it's the one called Lilikoi, Passiflora edulis var. flavicarpa. Tradwinds has it, but theirs looks different in the pic than some other sources:
Lilikoi - Passiflora edulis flavicarpa (http://www.tradewindsfruit.com/lilikoi.htm)
But then there's Passiflora laurifolia Golden Apple and I've seen that one called Lilikoi on a different source. Golden Apple is the one I actually want based on the photo on Rare Fruit.

LOL.. that's funny... same link at the same time. I've used Trade Winds before and they have good stuff. Small amounts of seed per envelope though.. that's my only complaint.

In Hawaii passion fruit is locally called lilikoi and comes in yellow and purple varieties.

So the Golden Apple is probably not a Lilikoi? Or should I say... Golden Apple is probably not a Hawaiian variety?
