Hi, if anyone has some papaya seeds for sale I'd love to purchase a few. My grandson and I would like to start a couple from seeds.
We are interested in Solo, Red Lady or x77. If you can help please pm me.
Thanks,

Agricultural Diagnostic Service Center - Seed Program (http://www.ctahr.hawaii.edu/seed/seeds.asp)
The $1 packets of papaya seeds I got from there had about 100 seeds in each.

I finally harvested one of my papayas a couple of weeks ago. I collected the seeds, but I haven't proven them viable yet so I don't want to send you something that might not work out. BUT... I got my seeds from Baker Creek... they are Sunrise Solo and the flavor was incredible... for some reason they are not offering the seed anymore, which I just found out b/c I was going to provide the link. You could try this source though:
Product Detail - CARICA papaya "Sunrise / Hawaiian solo" (http://www.banana-tree.com/Product/CARICA-papaya-Sunrise--Hawaiian-solo-SKU378-358.htm)
Or you could buy a papaya at the grocery store and use those seeds. This is a great site and it has good info about growing papayas from seed:
How To Grow Papaya: Growing Papaya From Seeds (http://www.tropicalpermaculture.com/growing-papaya.html)
Best of luck! :2738:
We have Sunrise, Sunset, & X-77 seed, all Solos.
No charge for the seed but we do ask for postage, just to weed out the "not-so-serious" folks.
Just like these:

I got mine from Wellspring... I know you have to deal with importing though.
