It's been quite some time since I registered here, but never started to post.... so I'd like to say hello now :bananas_b

My name is Saskia, I'm from Germany and live in a wood with six cats and a dog.
Bananas, exotic plants and cacti are my real love and although there are - until now - only nine bananas, I hope to enlarge my little collection with beautiful plants.
Ornamental leaves or better, variegated leaves are my favourites with all plants.
Right now I only have a variegated Musa TaNee, and although it's still a small plant, it's already beautiful!
My ultimate goal is to get a real Musa AeAe. The leaves fascinate me and I'm on the hunt since two years now.
But that is for another topic.

Now I'm on my way to start posting.

Take care,

Saskia

Welcome to the forum! :nanadrink:
My youngest is currently working in Cuxhaven, putting up a wind turbine. (He lives in Lübeck).
I've been thinking about having a chat with him about getting a modest tissue culture setup going.
How is the market for small banana plants by you?

Hey Bob,
thanks for the welcome!
Well, I think the best market for Bananas is Ebay.... if it's not the standard ;o)
The market is swarmed with Musa basjoo and Ensete Maurelii.
