I decided to try my luck with vanilla. It grows really slowly, but it's still alive.

i started one about 8 months ago..a TC from nursery..then 2 inches now 2 1/2 feet..only 20 feet to go..they say 3 years to bloom..keep me informed will do the same...good luck maby we can exchange pods one day..not to wet well well well drained..and i have found does much better in mulch NOT soil..im growing mine in 2 handfull of dried crumbled leaves mixed with some spag moss and little rockwool pieces to hold a little moister..will post pic later if you wish..GL
