Argh, what are the plusses on winter time? You will never hear me complaining about summer time, it is never too hot for me, but boy am I grumpy if the temperature falls below 22 C or 72 F. Even though I am in Southern California, but I am already nervous that our few hours of night frost once in a while will get my bananas.
Best thing in winter: a hot fire place or oven, a warm water bottle and someone to cuddle with.
Need to move to Hawaii, not just because of ideal banana climate.

Whats with others?
Orinoco has more burn on it, and 2 sets of Ornata looks unblemished.

In an off year when I removed tons of adult plants I still have 4 bunches hanging and a couple ready to bloom any day now. I'm hoping for a very mild winter!
One great thing about winter is the lack of flies, fleas and mosquitoes!

We're supposed to drop in the upper 20's F here tonight, thinkin' this weekend I'll try wrapping heat tape around my Basjoo contraption. I think it's going to pop back up in the 60's F next week but cold is coming for sure, very soon!

Winter sux but i hope we get snow. i only have one pink banana plant and its only 8 inches tall and i have a giant aloe and a cactus from Florida but they can stay under my grow light all winter. the only good thing in winter is snow and christmas.

All I know is them low temps I had over the weekend took their toll on the pups but the well established plants look unphased by what came and went.. It was close to 80F today.. :^)
