LOL I've dealt with this for years and years and years. It's not a problem up to a point. Just do your best to direct the cigar leaf to the right side as it hits the ceiling. To prevent it from bending (slight bend is cool....harsh bend leads to a crease that results in a leaf that is folded and hangs down at the end) adjust it daily by pulling it slightly horizontally away from the base of the plant to ensure it doesn't catch on the ceiling and fold.
Like I said, it's fine to a point.....after a certain point, the top of the pstem is too close to the ceiling to allow the leaves to unfold properly. At this point, you may have to help it to unfurl by manually unrolling the leaf and tearing the leaf-blade in sections that are straight (as bent cigar leaves don't unfurl properly past a certain bend radius).
At the end of the day, even if it gets pretty extreme, you can still make it work just fine, you just will have leaves that either end up with creases/folding or that have shreds in the leaves where you helped it unfold. Not a huge issue, though.
Sorry if this is confusing and doesn't make perfect sense....I'm sure you'll figure this out yourself as the off-season progresses.

The only problem I see is that it's already hitting the ceiling and we have 7 more months b4 they can go outside again...
