BracBananas

Hi!
New to the board. New to growing bananas. I live on Cayman Brac, a small island just south of Cuba. I've created a decent setup to grow my plants but the suckers were all donated with little or no description as to the type of banana plant they came from. I've got 2 plantain and 7 bananas. The lead plant (10 feet tall) has produced a nice rack of fruit, 18 hands of medium sized bananas and it's still opening at the end with male flowers. The other plants were stagger planted, all growing well and range in height from 1 foot to 8 feet tall. The next up to produce is what I've been told is likely an apple banana although I'm worried it is what the locals call a 'bottler' which produces small bananas that are very reluctant to ripen - the locals cook them.
I will also try and track down some dedicated literature to help identify banana varieties but I will post photos here in the hope that some folks can help me figure out what I have growing.
I will post responses for each plant. I'd really like to figure out the plant that has fruited to help me know how big the fruit will be and how long until I can start harvesting.
Much appreciated in advance!
