Now I see your in SC. I'm in Wilmington NC zone 8B. How many different nanners have you been able to harvest? I didn't check your profile but was curious if you wrap any of yours to keep p-stem size for fruiting. Your temps should be pretty much the same as mine. I'm a mile from the ocean and a huge river (Cape Fear) that flows into the ocean,so that helps winter temps. This is my first year with my types listed in my profile in the ground. Hoping next year for something to fruit, several are 12-15ft high.

I don't get a lot of variety D. Namwahs, Ice Cream Namwahs, Raja Puri, Orinoco, possibly sweet heart and belle( not ready yet). If it was September, I could get viente cohol--real close to a flower now. Some get Saba, but I'm out of cycle for that this year.

Thanks--
We don't get a to harvest many bananas here and folks(customers) are often shocked to learn that the p-stem is finished when you harvest the fruit. I imagine its similar raising livestock, then having to harvest it when the time comes to do so. That led to some of the parallel imagery/processes depicted.

You have an amazing grove of bananas. The video was top-notch and very dramatic. The bananas you packaged in that box still haven't arrived yet!

We kept some and took the rest to our farmer's market to pass out to customers, vendors, and friends.
