I have a decent sized patch of these two bananas and have been getting lows in the upper 30's. My red dwarfs leaves are starting to turn yellow and die but the brazilians seem untouched. Does anyone know the temp range that these two survive in overall?
I'm getting ready to dig them all out for the winter, but was curious none the less.
Thanks.

Started digging tonight. It looks like we might hit freezing Saturday.

The reds are much more sensitive to cold than Dwarf Brazilian. Short of frost, Dwarf Brazilian doesn't look too much the worse for wear. If it's getting down into the low 40's or lower, the reds look pretty sad -- yellowed leaves, etc. Dwarf Namwah seems even tougher than Dwarf Brazilian, when it comes to dealing with cold.

That's what I've been seeing, thanks for the confirmation. I just dug out 5 of the 35 total I have out there last night. I have to say I'm surprised at the heft some of these have being 4-5 foot tall.
