I've been growing bananas for 20 odd years. Basjoo to start befor the realization that they were hardy in zone 7. Yeah, used to dig them up and store them like bulbs. Now trying 5 or so differant bananas in the ground over winter. Time will tell.
Built a 12'x24' greenhouse last year to house the more tender plants. The collection of Brugmansia, Platycerium, Bananas and Bromeliads out grew our house years ago. What an advantage a little greenhouse makes. The two 'AEAE's made it thru the winter with flying colors.
So far I've managed to kill alot of expensive plants, and learned a little. Still have alot to learn.
That is why it will be great to be in touch with you guys and girls with similar interest. I got questions, some very simple and some not.
Want a laugh?
Yeah, I was one of the suckers that bough the AE seeds for $25.00 and learned my folley the same day from a good supplier I know. Hey, I went to school again and probably won't be the last time.
Thanks, talk at you soon.

Very welcome aboard and about that AEAE seeds it is a pitty but if you have
succeeded to germinate others bananas out of them the pain is less hard.
