Ive got a couple nanas that were sold as bajoo, well acually the tag said "banana hardy" but anyway the P stem on the main nan is very skinny and the leaves are narrow. the 2 water sucker that came off it (one still attached) have very broad leaves and wine spots as they come out, very light but still there. the other I have that I know are bajoo don't have spots at all. can a bajoo have wine spots on a water sucker? Pics once it stops raining.

My basjoos have never had any wine spots. Cavendish do though.

well I went and pulled back the bottom leaf on the P stem and it was bright red all the way into the soil. I am pretty sure it some sort of cavendish now. IDK what person would sell a cavendish in zone 6 and call it hardy..I guess if you left it out and killed it you would assume it was your fault since they said it stayed out..shady business. Now Im not sure if I'm gunna bring it in or let it die. think I might put it in a pot in the shed if it makes it then it makes it if not oh well.

Sounds like a grand naine (or any of its other spellings). There seemed to be a lot of them around this year. Managed to pick one up myself.

any definite things to tell if it is? I might just bring it in if I can find out it is for sure..its about 50 degrees tonight I don't have much longer to think it over :ha:

yep, it's williams hybrid, d cavendish, or gran nain, or one of the many variations thereof. Definitely not hardy for you.

I brought it into the basement cus I felt bad for leaving it out to freeze so hopefully it will keep its small size over winter and I'll stick it back out in april
