Lightbulb 8-2-12

Hello neighbors. I have a quick question, I've been looking for a while for some 8-2-12 fertilizer for my palm trees and have yet to find any. I know that Lesco use to make some, but haven't been able to find any by them.....unless I'm looking in the wrong area that is. If you're able to help or point me into the right direction, I would highly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Abnshrek. That helps, not what I'm really looking for though. Thanks. It did open doors for different search options though and I happened to find this: Home . I may call them later on t ask a few questions

Hi Abdullah,

12-3-18 would give you exactly the same proportion as the 8-2-12, you are looking for, as
would 16-4-24, namely moderate plant mass development (Nitrogen) - low or no bloom and
fruit (Phosphates) - high root development. You just use correspondingly less of the stuff.

Too much is made of “specialized” fertilizers. For more on that I recommend, that you read
my post here: Banana fuel

It is the third post down and will give you a good basic run-down on what, when and where
to fertilize and should equip you with all you need to know for fertilizing all your plants.
Just learn to mix your own from basic high percentage badges otf the three fertilizer groups
and save yourself a bundle

Good luck,

Olaf
PS: The 8-2-12 is not cast in stone. A 7-3-13 mix would give you basically the same results.

Just go to your favourite garden centre and look up 'Rose Fertilizer' or 'Tomato Fertilizer'
of different brands and you will find minor variations in the mixes.
