Greetings,
I've been reading and learning about the wonderful, and frustrating, world of bananas on this forum for about three months now and finally decided to make my introduction to all of you.
I'm retired from the world of marketing (Gruen wristwatches) and moved to the country in Louisiana to raise tomatoes, melons and grandchildren.
I ordered my first banana seeds in December of last year and have followed many of your tried and true methods of germination and had a fair amount of luck, I might add. Of course my wife's question of what I am going to do with 41 Abyssinian banana plants remains unanswered at this time, but I have pointed out to her that Louisiana is the only true Banana Republic in America.
So keep up the good work and perhaps in the future I'll feel qualified to add something interesting to the forum.
