I have been growing the two mother plants since June and they got to 5ft,then stopped. Started putting out pups. One green one that was growing strong, then leaves turned brown and it looked shot. Cut it off. Then same thing again. Then weeks later 7 more pups. Some green, some swords/water suckers. Some normal purple colors. Alot of them have brunt leaves or swords coming out of them? Is the plant growing to fast and burning itself out? Mother plants both have had brunt dried looking leaves for months but are still alive. Gets plenty of water, but might be fighting with a huge Elephant Ear for space/water.

seems to be a finicky plant to get started and acclimated. My Thai friend tells me they LOVE full sun and heat. not cold tolerant AT ALL. very drought tolerant, too much water could be problematic. they are known to produce suckers profusely. normal for it to produce green, yellow, red, suckers. green ones will turn red as they grow. the original mother plant is most likely a TC plant?, weak to begin with, but the suckers should take over as stronger plants and surpass the original in size and health. Dont know why, but thus seems to be the case.

Yes its a TC. Its in full sun more then half the day and it stays warm enough here for it. I don't water it anymore then any of my other nanners. Maybe I should back off on how much water. EE is huge and it shades alot of the area on the ground,so maybe roots are staying wetter longer. Thanks!
