Hopefully one of ya'll can help me out.

I had two 3 year old Orinico corms with a few pseudostems each slowly turn yellow leaf by leaf before eventually dying completely. Both of these were under a flat shed roof eave and i figured they got too much rain runoff from a couple of tropical systems earlier in the season. Now I have another that is not under the eave doing the same thing. We have been getting good rain this summer so i haven't watered them as much and all my other bananas (50+) all seem to be doing great. I used to use miracle grow on them but haven't this year do to reading on here. They all got a couple of garden trowels of cow manure earlier in the spring and are mulched with cypress mulch.

What do ya'll think?

Lack of nitrogen? N helps generate leaves, greenery and plant mass.
All that water may serve to leach the N right out of the ground???
If you want more info on fertilizing see here: http://www.bananas.org/f312/would-work-16514.html#post203278

I doubt, that you are "drowning" your bananas. See also here:

^^ Thank you for the links to the other post, confirms what I've thought about the fertilizer industry marketing plan for a while now. I'll try some xtra nitrogen. Sometimes the answer is too easy.
