My neighbor gave me a pot with a baby plant in it. The soil was very heavy clay so I mixed up some starter mix soil, with some sand and compost. When I took the baby out of the clay I realised it had been cut off a mother plant but had no root system of its own. I planted it anyway. Do you think it will grow. It has 2 leaves. Looks like a sword pup from the pictures I have seen. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you Teri:goteam:

I'd pull it back out of the soil and get all the dirt off the corm and wet it, then cover it in rooting powder (the whole root ball, even on the cut), and put it back in your soil. :^)

Took your advice and low and behold since yesterday there was one brand new tiny root starting. I used the rooting powder anyway and repotted it. Being very careful not to disturb the baby rootlet. Thank you for the advice.:woohoonaner:
