I pulled a banana plant out of a pot today and started washing the dirt off the root ball to tissue culture it. I found what looked like little banana plants, but not connected to the corm. they did seem in some instances to be connected to the roots of the main plant. are they baby banana plants and if so why or how is this that this happened?
thanks
Larry
