Ok so from my understanding there's a thing called the corm on the bottom of the banana plant, like a bulb shaped mass of tissue which is where the shoots or pups grow off of, correct?
Ok so when you go to cut pups off the main corm you're supposed to take a bit of the mother corm with it right? as the pup doesn't have one or much of one correct?
ok next is, when I take a pup to do tissue culturing, should I take some of the mother corm or not? I think I'm only using the pseudostem(correct term?)? or the internal stem of the banana shoot for TCing, right?
Can a TC happen from a chunk of corm?
thanks for the help.
