My wife Pamela and I run a small sport horse breeding operation here in the Temecula Valley wine country. I am a retired biologist/epidemiologist and an enthusiastic grower of tropical ornamental plants including a few species of Musa, Ensete, lots of Heliconias and assorted other Aroids,Bromeliads, Orchids, Gesneriads, Carnivores..etc. I heard about this site from some long-time gardening pals on another site and decided to join. From what I've read while browsing this site seems to be full of really knowledgeable growers. Thanks for letting me join!

Welcome from another banana and Warmblood horse enthusiast, also in San Diego.
BTW: my bananas love the aged horse manure.

hiya fellow Warmblood and Banana grower. Pam and I have Sunsprite Warmbloods. We actively breed in the KWPN, GOV, AHS, and the ATA. We focus on making good athletes and we do a lot with 3-day eventing. Thanks for the welcome message!

Aloha from Hawaii,
I recently moved from Santa Barbara, CA to The Big Island of Hawaii. You will meet some great people on this forum. I too grow lots of tropicals both at our Santa Barbara home and here in Hawaii. This is also a great place to trade and purchase plants you want to add to your collection.
Lastly, I grew up on a 200 horse 65 acre horse farm in upstate New York.
Aloha,
Andrew
