Hello bananaland!

I was searching, and hoping to compile a list of the smaller variety of banana plants for the potted and indoor/small yard/colder climate people? (and those that just want to have the smaller banana type of course)

I am looking for a list of plants that are under 8 - 10 feet, can be managed through a low number climate zone and where it may need to come inside for some hot choclate over the wintery months. And can be successful growing in a pot.

I have DCs right now and would love to enjoy the company of other types that may do as well in my low ceiling and limited height balcony environments.

A list so far:

Thank you. I was going through that list, but just locating the musa marked "dwarf" seems like an all too obvious and problematic idea.

Are there not any species that may not be listed as dwarf that may be considered just small by nature? I just want to be able to make and compile a complete list and perhaps gather more stories and ideas from those in the same situations

Thank you again, I added the dwarfs from the list to the master OP.

One thing to remember those heights are the P-stem @ fruiting not the total plant height. So an SDC or Dwarf ladyfinger might be more up your alley if your looking for fruit. I believe the SDC is the easier of the 2 to grow from what I hear. :^)

I tried DC and I didnt luck out and I swapped them for Velutinas. They grow in my zone 6 and they only grow 5 feet. They have big seeds too and the bananas are sweet and both of mine look epic.
