So while shopping at my one of my favorite ethnic haunts for hot pepper plants, I came across this little 'nana. Rarely are plants labeled when shopping in areas like this, you kind of have to know what you are looking for.
Anyhow, I couldn't resist. I've had it for a week, purchased from a streetside vendor on Liberty Ave, in New York. I've had it for a week and in that time, it's already outgrown it's 1 qt chinese food container.
I washed the roots of soil and seated in hydroton. This is what it looks like after 7 days. it's about 18" tall from crown to tip of new unfurling leaf.
Can anyone tell me what kind it is? I put it in the sun on my patio & one of the leaves got sun scorched. I brought it inside & it gets filtered sunlight all day long. It seems happier inside than out :waving: The last pic is of my new addition with a home depot banana. Also without labels. Also unreliable info in my area at least. If anyone recognizes him as well, I'd be grateful not to have to put him on a milk carton. he's about 3' tall from crown to top of leaf and I'm also getting ready to wash his roots of soil to plant in hydroton.
