I'm a newbie here and a newbie to banana's. Well, I'm not new to bananas since I eat them all the time but I'm new to growing them.
I have one BT that I got from a big box store a few weeks ago and have it planted by my pond. So far I have not killed it  It's a musa basjoo and supposed to be a hardy for my zone. I was excited to find it and for such a good price. I brought it home, read up (here) on how to plant (although, no one mentioned using a backhoe ;^) ) and got to digging. I was looking for something more tropical and a bit out of the norm. Also, hoping it won't be a high maintenance plant.
And that is a bit about me.
