Hi. I am new to banana growing. I am a little concerned. I have a Double Mahoi, a truly tiny, and a dwarf red. My concern is with my Red. She is growing well, her leaves are beautiful, except...

When her new leaves come in, there is a dead spot on every one. Same spot on each leaf. It is there as soon as it unrolls. It is like a brown strip. The first couple I wasnt too concerned, but now have like 5 leaves with the same dead spot in the same exact spot (the left edge up by the tip) on all. Being new to growing bananas, I am not sure if theis is something to be concerned with. I have checked the stalk for soft spots and mildewing but dont see of that going on. Has anyone else seen this? Can someone help me allay my fears? PLEASE?

I've had this happen several times and it is almost always during a very hot time. Your plant may have gotten a bit too dry. I've noticed it most often with potted bananas but it can also happen with in-ground plants.

It could also be because of a micronutrient deficiency. Can you post some pics?
