Well maybe it's not that big of a deal where some of you live but I'm excited. Last week I found a new half leaf and now I have a big fat bloom. This, I think, is the one that will have more than four or five hands and will look impressive. I'm already impressed. I currently have six mats with fruit or blooming and that to me makes

EDIT July 11, 2012 Today I found two more bunches for a total of eight!

Good year for bananas. Bad year for apples and peaches. Wonder what next year will bring. I sure wish I had started my bananas last year.:)

I hope we all can get a little relief from the heat and a long warm growing season to ripen all our nanas.

If I still have any credit left I'll wish for a warm Winter.

Charles, you did everything right and with your preparation, the timing, and a little luck I think this will be a season we will all remember a long time.
21 days my friend.

I'm going to give LUCK and Mother Nature the credit this year. I'm sure my preparation helped but without the great Winter we had it wouldn't be this great.

I really looking forward to seeing your place. With the damage your yard guy did, I really want to see what your place looks like. You have better growing conditions naturally at your place than mine. I'll bet your yard has made a miraculous recovery.

I also wonder about that Borneo Giant. It should be huge and that heart shaped leaved plant in your front bed, those should be nice too. Mine have done exceptionally well and I'm growing them in full shade.

How's that bamboo doing? I need a division of that if it has grown enough. When you get back we can go back there and I'll buy something we both want and we can divide it when big enough. That way we can keep our costs down. They are not patented.

It will be great to have you back!

Charles....everyone says my yard looks good but not like the last time you saw it, nothing is really gigantic, they say it needs my personal touch, he he. But Sharon says the Bamboo is doing well, I think it's Bambusa Kanapaha, Textilis, Mutabilis, Gracilis, not for sure which is which since they all look the same to me, but I know they ain't 'Ice Creme". I'm sure we can hook you up on Bamboo. I was thinking about a "get together" around August 1st. or when we can get everyone together.
