Of my three new banana plants, the Goldfinger was the first to put out a sucker at about 8 weeks out of Going Bananas.

We had a good discusion on this in another thread.
Per the Goldfinger people:
Young shoots have to be removed every 8 weeks. The removal of "sister shoots" should be done 4 months after planting.

Right now I plan on leaving this one to see if it is a sister or not.

The ice-cream and Apple plants are three months out from the TC but no suckers as of yet.

It is 1 year old it is only 6ft tall !

Do you think that's because you have to cut and overwinter the pseudostem?

Goldfinger must be big on producing suckers. Sucker number 2 showed up this morning.
