Hello everyone,
I am new to bananas but have a fairly green thumb. I have 3 newly planted nanners that I am nursing through an Arizona summer. They were all planted in the past few weeks and are doing better than expected.
Now the test comes with the real heat, 105 is nothing after you deal with 115. There really is a huge difference. My plants are shaded with 30% from about 11 till 2 depending on the temps. I am being a little cautious because I planted them so late. I just started using a fogger that works great for cooling but some leaves are constantly wet and i need to know if this will be a problem. The soil doesnt appear to be getting saturated and I get natural shade after 3 so the water doesnt run all day. They sure look a little happier a half hour after the fogger goes on.
Thanks for the help
Larry
