If you don't get many replies it's because it's been posted twice before your post.

I tell you this so you don't feel neglected and wonder why. ;)

You know what? I didn't even think to look for it. Is there a way to delete this thread? Or just let it die?

Just to make sure everyone knows they have a part in the controls put in place in all citrus growing states. Before you move citrus plant material from one state to another, or even one county to another check and see if they are restrictions and most likely there will be.

If we don't do our part then some day citrus police or banana police will come burn your trees on the spot. It is the hobby grower they have the least control over. The commercial growers I am guessing don't like that one little bit.

As another example, a guy on the apple forum traded scion wood at an exchange fair. He grafted them on his trees and brought in an apple virus that can't be cured.

Banana people need to be careful too.

Nah......let's keep it going! :ha:

You can delete a thread but I'm not sure if that's possible once it's been replied to. No biggie, I was the second poster of this news. :ha: :bananas_b

Can anyone explain how the agricultural agents manage to search on land w/0 warrants to look for trees and then destroy private property. The human health people can even put you under house arrest in you own home if they think you have plague. My place has a locked gate that I soon plan to defend it with decent guard dogs.

They don't. It is just a vision of the future if the home grower turns out to be the spreader of a plant virus or disease.

The Meyer Lemon trees that were not certified that were destroyed were tracked down with the sellers information if I remember right but the owners were told of the problem. The seller was a drop shipper seems like.
