The "Stevens" cranberry is a selection of the mainland U.S. forest species of cranberry, Vaccinium macrocarpon (http://www.ars-grin.gov/cgi-bin/npgs/html/taxon.pl?41030). It produces fruit in USDA zones 3-9+ with ranges of gardening success from Calgary AB to Miami FL. I recently bought a flat of 72 TC's to try out here in San Diego. Yesterday I transplanted them into pint-size pots with SunGro/Sunshine Soil #5.

Please keep us all updated on the progress of this cranberry. Blue berries grow well in NWFL and a cranberry would also be welcomed if it will make in my area on land. I do have a creek bottom, but the blueberries apparently do not like that area of the homestead and preferred better drained sandy areas.
Right now my blues berries are being eaten by the critters and I am too busy at work to deter them from their wayward actions.

You can see from the photo that some of the plants are in poor shape -- although they did not arrive that way. These individuals had very soggy plugs which apparently weren't draining well.

The ones that survived are doing very well in full sun here, planted in Sunshine Mix #2. The daily lows and highs are 65F to 85F.
