Is there such thing? Or is it just a Ca Gold? Wiki says it will survive 7-10. Since I live in NC it would be neat to have one :)

I seem to remember it being connected with TyTy, as well. In which case it could be anything. I would bet on it being Orinoco.

If it has anything to do with TyTy I'd be very skeptical. It is probably just an Orinoco that survived in North Carolina (as any Orinoco might) and they gave it a new name as a marketing ploy. I think they did the same thing with 'Texas Star' or something like that. I'll bet you can't find it anywhere else but TyTy if it is a made up cultivar.

Yeah you guys are right :( haha. I would figure Orinoco as well like sunfish posted that post card. Orinoco is hardy even down to zone 7. Plus I see it everywhere in yards in Wilmington.
