I'd love to try yunnanensis again. It never took off for me and by reading this paper I wonder if it needed more light. It had a good bit of light, but some shade and it looks like it tends to go dormant until it gets higher amounts of light.

Did you grow from seed or did you buy a plant. I want to grow them and can't decide if I want to try from seeds or get a plant.

Thank you for making this information available!! The knowledge that the female flower is self pollinating before the bracts open is very useful. We can find ways around this problem. The "key" is also extremely useful!!!!

Its a great plant! I have new growth on it even now, mid January, plant looks pretty bad but its still pushing.

My Yunnanensis is very small, so it's inside, but I have high hopes.
Let's see a photo of you then sunfish :08: or is that a different thread?
