Well no frost the whole month of March here in central Alabama and tomorrow night they are calling for a low of around 36 with frost possible if not likely!!! Go away cold, haha. Anyone else have nanners to protect from this cold snap?

Must be nice caliboy1994, haha. I think I'm just gonna quit trying to get a jump on growing things, cuz every year I try to get a head start, and we always end up with a late season coldsnap.

The meteorologists are calling for possible frost here in the foothills of NC too. Thankfully, all my nanners are in pots. I just have to lug them back into the house. However, my peach, blueberry, and fig plants may suffer a little. I am going to cover them as much as possible and hope for the best. Good thing I haven't planted my garden yet.

I have a sort of a cold snap too. This coming Saturday's nighttime low is projected to be 39 degrees. Pretty cold for early spring.

George, we're getting the same weather here.
It was 30 this morning. I covered all my bananas up with 2 bath towels each last night, also my pink chinas, and my 3 tomato plants that I put out a month ago with large cardboard boxes. We have one more cold night then the forecast is looking much better.
Some of my basjoo are already 2 feet tall, I will need boxes for them too if it gets cold again later on.
I know it's too early here to have tomato plants out but it was so nice I just had to. Besides I know this greenhouse nearby where I can get more if I have to! LOL...

Well, we dodged a bullet, only got down to 40, no frost. Now winter, its time to get out of here for good. Now its time to grow some bananas, lol.

I had two tomatoes two banana's and three hydrangias covered; but it only got 43 at my house. We are on high ground. down hill, half mile away they got 28 for a couple of hours.
Hopefully, it is now safe to plant the rest of the tomatoes.

I have 2 plants at another property that got frosted, not a real hard one. Will that kill it back down to the corm, or will I need to just peel back a few layers. They are anout 4 ft tall with 2 leaves already.

You will probably be fine just to cut the burnt leaves off. I would think the p-stem would be fine.
