Very nice, indeed!
Were they cut corms from a mother plant or were they tissue cultured?

Here's the wiki page for Ele Ele if anyone wants to contribute to it:

Looks very nice, congrats. The fruits are interesting, looks almost like cucumbers!

How do you pronounce Ele-Ele, anyway? Is it as in "Eli Whitney" (the guy who invented the cotton gin) or as in "Elevator"?

It's pronounced L.......E - L......E Just say the letters by themselves. That's the way I say it.

Cool deal.

btw, as you've probably seen by now, I've added your picture to the wiki and gave you credit for it there. The page is starting to take shape, and hopefully those that are growing it or have grown it will take a moment and add some of their info to the wiki page :) wink wink

Nice! I know it's a bit late, but do you remember how long those took to flower? :D

Black: 'Ele'ele - “eh-leh'eh-leh”
A bit different than L A, L A, or L E L E.

I've also wondered about A'ea'e, which I've also seen written as A'e a'e. But if A'ea'e is correct it's Ah eh-ah eh, definitely not eye-eye, as I've heard it said.

Gorgeous plant, I'm so jealous! Mine I got as a TC, and it had a bit of black even when very small. Now it has almost none. But it is in full sun and is 1/3 mile from the ocean, which according to the wiki means results in lost blackness.

The fruit looks similar to Hua Moa. I think I recall reading somewhere that Ele Ele is primarily a cooking banana.
