I am waiting for confirmation of shipping details on my order.
Please let me know when you are shipping.
I am interested in seeing the plants before placing another order
Thanks

Hello,
I am contacting you in regards to your order. We have had an extremely large amount of complaints of our customers plants and trees arriving with frost damage and either they were dead or are dying, so we are either refunding our customers payment or temporarily holding orders for a few days until the weather is above freezing. I do not want to send you plants or trees that will arrive in that condition. I would much rather give your money back then for you to have to deal with this issue. It is not fair to you as a customer of ours and in good conscious will not do that to you or anyone else. We want you to have a positive experience with our company and not a negative one. The hold will only be very temporary and all orders will ship immediately upon the weather being more cooperative. So, if you could please contact me in return ASAP to let me know if this is ok with you, or if you would like your payment refunded. I sincerely apologize for this issue.
Best regards,
Dr. Mike Taylor

Hello Keith,
Of course, it wont be long. We ship out a massive amount each time we can. On top of that, our nurseries our overflowing with plants and trees so I need them out of here too, but not at the expense of my customers money or plants, it just isnt worth it to me. But, I will contact you immediately when it goes out. Thank you for understanding my position with this and if you have any questions or if you want a refund at anytime just let me know. Talk to you soon.
Sincerely,

I left negative feedback on Ebay, and I wanted to show the negative feedback
they had left for me but Ebay removed it before I was able to copy.
Their comment was far from professional or even accurate.
THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE!

I have placed an order with them totaling over 100 dollars this winter. It is past the time ebay lets you leave feedback but the weather is now good enough to ship so I hope they show up. They do have a lot of positive feed back on ebay so I hope I didn't get screwed! I'll let you guys know how things go.

Bought a couple of California Golds from them and got the same thing. Will ship when it's warmer. Recieved them and they looked great. Put them in the ground and they were dead in a week. Hope you have better luck.

Hi, I also bought from Oasis on ebay. shipping was very delayed. I did receive two thai
blk. They were very tiny with little root to speak of. That was at least two weeks ago. I
didn't think they would make it. I kept them on a heat matt under lights and gave them a lot of tlc. They are looking better, but I don't want to deal with them anymore. I didn't
bother to leave a negative because sellers always retaliate. btw they closed thier ebay store. There is a message that there would be a delay. I think it's BS. Good Luck to anyone that has ordered from them!

I was deceived by all of the colorful BS they wrote on their website and in EBAY. They listed Beautiful Florida as the shipping location for bananas, now I assume that was a lie. Their prices and shipping were double that of Florida Hill Nursery, but I was taken in by their con job. After that fiasco I purchased from FHN, received my plants as expected. Planted them in the ground on a tuesday, then it rained nonstop for 4 days. On sunday they all had new leaves and looked beautiful.

Hi, just to let you know, I check oasis feedback all the time. They are up to 7
negatives & 5 nuetrals. Most for not shipping plants. I got mine but they were pretty sad looking and a LOT smaller than were advertised. As I mentioned before, I didn't bother w/feedback as I have seen the retaliation.
BTW they have only been members on ebay since 6-11. Oasis ebay store is
still not operating. Not very good rating for selling less than 10 months.
Beware of them!!!

Their excuse for the shutdown was,
"We are installing new plumbing and sprinkler systems in our greenhouses, so it is extensive work and will be completed as fast as possible."
That was the same as their recorded message on their telephone, back in early Feb.
Kind of makes you wonder how long they have been using that excuse, it would be funny if it has been for entire 10 months.

Good day everyone! I've been lurking for years. I usually just read and take it all in, (or try to because I am still confused about some things)This is my first post and I can not stay quiet about this. I agree with this thread!
I wish I had read this before I ordered the plants I never received. I should have listened to my gut. Most of the time when people have a million things to say, it's a warning not to buy from them.
I'm not even angry with them, I'm angry with myself!
Is there a thread/sticky that warns people not to buy from certain companies? Is it possible to start one if there isn't one?

I don't know why they would never send them, that is bad. But at my own online store, I hold the orders until usually April and May and send them unless you are down south where the weather is ok to plant them, and it's warm enough to ship them. If someone e-mailed me and wanted them right away, I'd explain why I couldn't if it was too cold or the plants were still to small or something like that.
I do always have a million things to say on my ads though. I kind of thought the more information, the better, so people could make an informed choice.

I did file a BBB complaint against this company! After many non response e-mails fromm BBB regarding the company (BBB did not get responses) I finally got one From BBB that Oasis did respond: Apparently Their attorney was concerned that from my "threats" the office staff was scared of me. This is funny because I have never once talked to a live person at the company. Now Oasis is trying to get BBB to cease and desist and further action on my behalf. After two months of email and calling Oasis, my credit card company and BBB, they finally issued my refund. I would highly encourage those who have not received their plants or refund to file a complaint with BBB and Florida's Attorney General. I don't think they are a real company. Here is the response Oasis' attorney sent to BBB regarding my complaint:
Hello Ms. McDade,
I have to believe we have already dealt with you before, but for our legal records my name is Attorney Anthony Johnson and I work within this company for any legal matters. Again, I am responding to another one of your issues raised by one of our prior customers. Ms. Toommaly was well informed that the item she ordered was NOT promised at any certain date. The particular tree ordered from my client was to be shipped and delivered by July 30/2012. Our client makes it extremely clear on their website that some items will be shipped when they are at the proper age and size. It is also is made very clear on the website about the customer being totally responsible to understand our clients shipping policies. If the customer has neglected to read any of the information, that should not rest upon our clients company. The information that Ms. Toomaly has forwarded to you is false and shall be proven in a court of law if necessary. The BBB is there for both business and consumer and this matter should be treated as such, and you may want to strongly consider any further damaging comments or derogatory statements from your client. In addition, any derogatory and false statements posted on the BBB website in regards to our clients company or the any ratings posted on said website will also be disputed to the fullest extent of the law. Again, let this message serve as a "Cease and Desist" in regards to this complaint. If you have any other questions just email us at any time forwarded to me, their representing attorney.

After reading what you wrote, I called eBay to ask a few questions about Oasis & SGABirds.
eBay actually suspended the account of Oasis and the first appeal to reopen was denied.
eBay also said that they can see a link between sgabird and oasis.
A report was filed to close the account of sgabird.
I did not make any request, I merely informed eBay that they both shipped from Spring Hill Florida.

Hi Bananas! I found your site to late, after I already ordered my banana plants from Oasis Tropical Plants and Trees. THEY ARE SCAM! NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THAT SITE EVER! I ordered four of banana plants from them only because the site was more colorful and huge choice of different varieties than Florida Hills Nursery. I wish I would make the other choice. Anyway, after two weeks after my order I started worrying where is my order. I emailed them:
________________________
This is my third email to you!!! I have ordered four banana plants from your site on August 9 and no response or any
information about it. What's going on??? I am wondering where is my order and when it is going to be shipped to me?
Your email says :
Shipping times during the busy season can range from 3 to 15 business days
It is already more than 15 days since I ordered my plans and I don't have any shipping/tracking or any other information
about my order and nobody contacts me. What kind of customer service are you ?!
If you wont sent me any reply, I want my money back and I am not going to have any business with you!

and got a reply:
Hi Tanya,
This is the first email that I received from you, so, you were not being ignored. We receive hundreds of emails a day and sometimes the emails get lost, spam, whatever, I am sure you already know. Anyways, you should receive an email update from us within the next few hours, and your order will be going out. You will also receive an email update with the USPS confirmation and tracking # in the next 24 to 48 hours. Please email me in return when you receive this message so I know for sure you got it.
Best regards,

Hi Tanya,
I just contacted the Operations Manager about your order. It was marked as picked up and shipped by the USPS. On the 15th and 16th of August the USPS mixed up 25 or so orders and your order was part of that mess. I thought something was not right because our shipping times are normally between 5 to 10 business days at the most. That was the big flag. Unfortunately, your order was part of that mess. We have since been correcting the problem and everything is o.k. So, I needed to update you on the issue. Also, we are clearing out all of our herb and spice plants, Ivy's, and some flowers. So if you would like to go to the "Herb and Spice plants" and "Various Flowers and Plants" sections and send me a list of any you are interested in. I will check the stock and will send you some for free with your order. Let me know.
Kim

You have 45 days to act, that's what those freaks are counting on. Again: NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM, EVER!!!
Thank you, Bananas!!!

I too got suckered by Oasis Tropical when I ordered 5 california golds in January of this year. I got the same notification about delaying shipment due to poor weather and when I phoned I got the same recorded message about "working on the sprinklers". When all was said and done it took until June for me to get Mastercard to reverse the charges (it was too far after the fact for eBay to honor their "buyer protection" guarantee.) Luckily I was able to provide Mastercard with copies of the emails promising shipment as well as emails and phone messages that I had left - with no response from "Dr. Mike" - asking them to either ship the items or refund the purchase price.
I also noticed that by June they had disappeared from the eBay without a trace. And even though you could still find them on-line, I never got any type of response when I requested an explaination regarding my January order. But I see now - 3 months later - that they are back on-line with a spiffy new webpage.
I personally would not trust them.

Yo Gang: Thanks for the buyer caution! I am a newbie, but since I purchased a couple of baby nanners, I would love highly recommend Sandy, at Northern Tropics Greenhouse, in Muncie In. She posts here in our forum and I will give her the highest 5 Star level of customer service I can muster, because it is the truth!
I had a problem, one of my babies, which was snapped off at the top of the pot, by rough handling in the mail. I called to whine and ask if I could salvage...she said she would reship a new one a no cost. Also gave me advice on how to care for my new babies.
It arrived, great shape, I replanted both into 1 gal pots, and they are now happy and growing well! I will be doing more business with her for sure! Stay Safe, brothertom
BTW does anyone have a recommendation for a book on growing nanners, maximizing growth and keeping them happy please?

There is a thread about Florida 'Hell' nursery that you might want to read before you order from them.
Florida 'Hell' Nursery thread (http://www.bananas.org/f2/florida-hill-nursery-13340.html)
The main problem was that the owner was posting on here as a customer of theirs, hiding the fact that he was actually the owner. He was giving great reviews about all the plants he claimed he got from them. Then when confronted as actually the owner, and not the customer he was claiming to be, instead of just admitting it he became very abusive, and I believe was banned from the forum. I don't know about plant quality or what type of service, but if you are reputable and have great customer service and great plants you would not need to try to pass yourself off as a customer. You would also not be abusive to prospective customers.

Add me to the list.Oasis took my money and I never got any plants or refund. They turned up in my first search. After they did not ship,my second search found Fl.Hill Nursery. They did everything they said they would do.Confirmation, tracking etc.Shipped in 2 days. The plants were as I expected. One even had new roots. They all came out quickly.I potted using rotten pine straw, with lime. They jumped. The temps. were 70-90.If no rain I watered daily.Lightly fertilize every 2 weeks. As much Sun as I could. As soon as one leaf opened another was starting to show.I then moved them to ground and they are growing fast.Very happy. Some of the plants had small secondaries(one Cavendish had 2).So 4 Cavendish,Double,X,Grain Nain.I potted those and they are jumping and with that bonus and with $4 less a plant,I made up my loss with Oasis.I planted a Red Siam in ground and it was not growing well,so I potted it.Used a different compound and it died.I recently ordered another from FHN and it also had a small one.I don't know if they did that on purpose or not.I am going to dwarfs because of wind.I will make a temporary green house for freezes.I used Google Earth to look them up.The street(virtual way) is phony.Zooming in I got the real name. There really is a nursery there. So if anyone wants to go to Mich. to talk to them, that is the way to find them.
I filed a claim with BoA on my checkcard.BoA has refunded my money temporarily.I guess that means unless something new comes up,my money is refunded.I was taken by Computer Surplus Outlet and they refunded that also.I thought my money was gone.A lot of trouble to file a claim, but do it.
Ty-Ty,Aron's and Willis have all sent me fruit trees that were not what I ordered. They looked like root stock.Isons are good.

They have multiple complaints against them at the Florida BBB, though of course they are not a BBB member, nor is it even certain that they exist in Florida, as the cell phone number is from the Northeast.
It appears that they stall the customer just long enough so that money cannot be recovered. Then they never reply to email again. They never reply at all to phone messages.
I just take it as a lesson learned, and broadcast as much as possible about this "company."
File a BBB complaint. File a PayPal complaint (even though it is past 45 days, as they supposedly keep data on complaints and may eventually take some action).
