Some orchids, such as phalaenopsis, benefit from the inclusion if vitamin B1 in their liquid feed to boost growth and root production. Is there any documented usage of B1 in banana culture?

If I was going to do anything with vitamins, I'd probably just use 'Superthrive'.

No plant benefits from vitamin B1. It is a long perpetrated error. There are several products that benefit orchids which say they contain B1, but the actual benefit is in another component.

Yes, I was drawn to this article that supports what you say; Does vitamin B1 help transplants take root? | Sunset | Find Articles (http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1216/is_n5_v188/ai_12252342/) I had read articles that phalaenopsis had benefited to a lesser extent but that is hardly conclusive. I ust try to find these articles.
