These pics are from Papaya Tree Nursery's site (which is conveniently located just a mile away from my house). Could these be real Ice Cream bananas?

Those look like what I have seen correctly labeled as Ice Cream

Thanks. Here's another picture from the site. The ones with blue on them would be Ice Cream.

I'd like a second opinion.

Ice cream bananas get their 'bluish' appearance from a glaucus (waxy) coating on the fruit. Those do appear to have that glaucus. Although I've never grown them, my neighbor has; and the photo looks like his.
I'm an orchid nut, and we have Rhyncolaelia glauca which is an orchid species that has the waxy coating and similar color, so although I don't grow those bananas, I am intimately familiar with the term, and what it describes.
That being said, you don't know that what you get will be in line with the posted photo. I've seen photos on banana vendor sites that were clearly not what they said they were... In other words: "caveat emptor".

Seeds, I don't know. But I know they sell the plants. I'm not sure if they ship to where you are.

I'd think it would be the same thing. Papaya Tree Nursery is a small, reputable, family run nursery and I'm pretty sure they grow all the plants that they sell on site. I've also driven by and seen a fruiting banana plant there. I'll have to stop by and see.

Reputable as they may be, sometimes you trust another company to make liners or somebody has a bad day and doesn't label it right. The best bet is to find a tree with fruit on it and dig a sucker off of it.

Well I just got my plant! It appears to have been dug off of a mother plant because it's at an angle in its pot. And it looks like the real thing to me.

Great now I know what to look forward to, hopefully. Pretty interesting with the blue tinge to it

If you want to get the real thing, verify your source first. I know that pitangadiego has the real thing, and they have the real thing at Quail Gardens in Encinitas too. Mine appears to be the real thing.

I'm starting to see a red outline on the new leaves...maybe it isn't? I guess I'll have to wait and see until it blooms. It's getting put in the ground on Saturday. If it's not Ice Cream, it must be the common mainland clone sold as Ice Cream. It looks nothing like my other two plants that were sold to me as Ice Cream.
