Spring will be here before we know it! I'd like to get some disease free tropicana (Phaison) cannas this year. Will also consider red stripe, pink sunburst or bengal tiger, but tropicana is what I'm really after! I will be watching Ebay as well. Anyone have any to sell or share?

I planned on getting some last year, but I just had too many irons in the fire....

Otherwise, know any reputable sellers? I have seen those on Plant Delights Nursery.

Thanks!
Angie

These are patented, I believe. At least the Tropicana I bought is, so it's best to buy from a nursery, IMO.

I could have legally sent you some seeds from mine but there aren't any left.

Tony thinks my comment is dumb but I think he's been smoking dope or something. Never mind, he's just been fed up with laws stopping him from shipping snails. ;)

Brian's botanicals has it... briansbotanicals.net

PDN is probably overpriced.
If you want to trade let others know what you have....

Thanks for the info! I'll definitely check out Brian's Botanicals, see what they have!

I am just getting my cannas started...all I have are a generic green leaf/orange flower, and a Canna Australia. They multiplied like crazy last year, and even in winter storage, I'm starting to get a few little sprouts popping up....

Thanks!
Angie

In this post I've got pictures of plants I bought from Brian and what they did in 1 year

Plant Delights is way too expensive. Around here you can get them at Home Depot and Lowe's. I'll have tons in the spring...but I remember you were initially interested last year, but nothing came of it.

Yep Rob, I just found myself with too much going on last year.... and didn't want to do anything on impulse then not do it right...and decided I'd be best to hold off another year. So, spending my time this winter making plans, what's gonna go where, etc etc, so I'm prepared for my new arrivals!

But, I'm still on that kick, my cannas did very well last year, and I've got the hang of digging up and wintering...so I'm ready for more this year! Striped ones, definitely!
